Shark Fin Product Rules

Shark Fin products can only be subscribed to during a specific subscription period. Each product has different directions (bullish or bearish), APR (basic and excess APR) and price ranges. The final APR will depend on the comparison between the price of the underlying coin and the specified price range during observation period. The interest mode is Distributed at Maturity, and the interest will be settled after the product matures. Shark Fin products have a fixed term and do not support early redemption. They will be automatically redeemed upon maturity and the redemption amount will be returned to the Spot account after the product expires and is settled.

How is the profit calculated for Shark Fin?

The APR of Shark Fin products fluctuates within a certain range which is composed of basic and excess APR. During the product observation period, if the price of the underlying coin exceeds the specified price range, settlement will be based on the basic APR at maturity; if the price of the underlying coin is always within the specified price range, settlement will be based on the calculated excess APR at maturity. Within the price range, for bullish products, the higher the settlement price at maturity, the higher the yield; for bearish products, the lower the settlement price at maturity, the higher the yield. Product Profit = Actual APR * Duration / 365.

In order to simplify subscription operation for each period, Shark Fin products support auto-renewal. Users only need to enable Auto-renewal when subscribing, or enable Auto-renewal in Shark Fin product position of the Earn account. After the auto-renewal is enabled, the principal will be automatically renewed for the next product with same type and same duration after the current product expires. Users can disable Auto-renewal in the corresponding Shark Fin product position of the Earn account. If auto-renewal is disabled, the principal will be redeemed into the user's Spot account after the expiration of current product.

To subscribe to Earn products, users need to ensure that their Spot account has sufficient balance in the corresponding coin. Then, on the product details page, users can enter the subscription amount and click Subscribe to complete the purchase. After successful subscription, the subscription amount will be deducted from the user's Spot account and converted into corresponding holding positions in the Earn account, while the fund records can be viewed in the Spot account.
